data-base strategy.

1990 INTERNSHIP, DIGITAL EQUIPMENT COMPANY: Responsible to the Strategic Marketing Department

for an analysis project, of the impact of Information Technology on organisations and presenting to the

Customer Advisory Board.

1985-89           SPORTS COUNCIL FOR WALES: Responsible to Principal for bringing new National Centre on-line.

conferences and promotions. Developed and implemented high skill level training programmes.

International assignment with Australian company integrating a new acquisition with a culture renewal programme in SWE, NOR and GER.  Delivery of a proven middle manager development programme for an integrated petroleum company, over five years.  Development and editing of a business plan and quality report for a newly formed train operating company, based on the format of the European Foundation for Quality Management Excellence Model for submission to the Strategic Rail Authority, GBR.  Management Development Programmes, for: a newly merged infrastructure company (with three shareholding companies) to enable managers to lead business transformation; the largest company (by market capitalisation) for proven middle-managers; the government foreign and home policy departments; and, foundation programme global telecoms company.  Service Programmes, for: global services group of major telecoms company; one of the top three automotive companies; and a large UK based hotel and restaurant company.

Investigation and design stage of a revitalisation programme for a transatlantic airline company post-downsizing.



Design and delivery of business awareness and analysis course for the cartel investigation department of a government agency.  Author of MA in Business Management developed for the Institute of Financial Education & Training for post-experience managers linked to Management Charter Initiative. Formation of an introductory programme for Russian managers and senior executives from the financial sector and the public sector in preparation for assignment work in UK retail banking.  Producing a ten year development plan for one of the ten top sports in the UK for the Sports Council to be used to provide funding of £20m under the World Class Funding Programme of SportLot.  Lead trainer for major food company introducing a new corporate graduate management development programme.  Development of material for Business Excellence Model and Investors in People on behalf of Investors in People UK Limited.  Assessor for the 1997 UK Quality Awards for Business Excellence on behalf the British Quality Foundation.  Volunteer Business Adviser for Prince’s Youth Business Trust in North Wales region, GBR.  Approved Trainer for Investors in People UK Limited for Approved Assessor and Adviser courses through Financial Times Management, formerly HDL Training & Development (Henley Distance Learning).

Industry analysis of the chemical industry in Japan, for a leading European industrial chemical producer.  Training for sectorial groups of company directors in creativity and problem solving skills.  Management of conferences for the development of organisations, in areas such as organisational structure, marketing and strategic management.  Adviser of a major United Kingdom based training group company on their organisational development through structural changes and strategic analysis.  Contracted to assess organisations for attainment of the national Standard of Investors in People.  Development and delivery of a National Training Programme for Assessors under the Investors in People national Standard.
